If you plan your picnic on a weekend, stop by Fix early to grab one of the delicious cinnamon buns that only appear on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Looking for a location to enjoy your picnic? If you are looking for an easy and family friendly location, follow the Valley Trail south, just past Fix Café to the shores of Alpha Lake. This location has a fantastic children’s play area, sandy beach, grassy field and plenty of shady or sunny spots for your picnic! If you are looking for a little more adventure, head up the Whistler Village Gondola and continue up to the tip of Peak Chair to take advantage of the quick trip into the alpine and enjoy your lunch with views of Black Tusk and the Whistler Valley! Want to enjoy local art with your lunch? Follow the Valley Trail north of Fix and look for signs for the Alta Lake Park which is just off the trail. Enjoy lake views and art installations like the Poet’s Pause which features steel chimes which sounds “…resonate with the lake.”
