There’s no shortage of stores in Whistler. From ski, snowboard and bike specialists to mountain lifestyle, and souvenir shops.
Retail may not be your number one priority in a mountain town like Whistler (see A Locals Guide To The Best Hikes In Whistler instead) but it’s absolutely worthwhile taking a stroll on the Village Stroll.

There are so many great stores to visit in Whistler – we’d like to share 5 of our favourites with you today. Grab your Visa and your re-useable tote and go out of your way to visit one of these gems…
Ecologyst
One of the newest additions to the Village Stroll (and one of our favourite stores in Whistler right now!) is Ecologyst. The website explains: ‘The brand known and loved as Sitka is now ecologyst – Canada’s west coast outdoor clothing and gear company, balancing conservation and consumerism.’
Ecologyst features on menswear, womenswear, and quintessential Canadian camp & cabin goods. Expect casual adventure apparel and mountain life accessories. We especially love their range of books, which include a focus on nature, the environment, and the Pacific Northwest. The store is also home to a neat coffee bar, which serves some of the best avocado toast we’ve ever had.
3 Singing Birds
This is the store for you if you’re searching for a unique souvenir or gift. 3 Singing Birds is our go-to of all stores in Whistler for local crafts and artisan goods. They stock really great handmade soaps and candles, as well as jewelry, trinkets and clothing.
One of our favourite things in-store is their selection of Anja Jane artwork. Anja is a local illustrator and specializes in colourful designs of iconic British Columbian places. There are Whistler and Blackcomb specific pieces, and beautiful pieces inspired by landmarks further afield too.

Get The Goods
Located in Whistler Creekside, Get The Goods makes our top 5 stores in Whistler due to it’s sheer variety. It’s our one-stop-shop for gifts – offering everything from games and books, to glassware and toys. You’ll find something for everyone here.
Their website sums it up perfectly: “Get the Goods is an emporium of wonder that stocks over 2,500 products that are sourced globally. We have the things you need, the things you covet and things you didn’t even know existed. We celebrate clever products made by clever people.”
Escape Route
If you’re in town for mountain adventure, there’s a plethora of big brand names to choose from including North Face, Patagonia, and Arc’Teryx. We prefer it all in one place, which is why we love Escape Route.
These guys have everything you need to explore the Whistler area and wayyy beyond. They stock everything from clothing and camping gear right through to compasses, crampons and carabiners. They’re our year-round adventure store of choice and have a location in Squamish as well as Whistler.
Maury Young Arts Centre
We love the Maury Young Arts Centre as a gallery and a venue – but did you know they had a store? Expect more than just promotional items from this Gift Shop; they house an incredible collection of local art and crafts, too. This includes beautiful art, sculpture and jewelry by our First Nations.
The Maury Young Arts Centre encourages you to “Shop local, support local artists, take home something original. From pottery to glass, jewelry to metal work, fabric arts, paintings, prints and art cards, you’ll discover plenty of unique and local treasures.” We see everything in the collection as an incredible way to remember your Whistler trip!
