Do you have plans for Father’s day? Here are five experiences to share with Dad in Whistler on Sunday, June 18th, because the greatest gifts are memories of time spent together. So, this year get outside and make new memories with Dad. But, don’t just wait till Father’s Day to share an adventure with dad, Whistler is an amazing place to explore any time of year!
The tranquil waters of glacier-fed Nita Lake are perfect for fishing. Nita Lake is stocked with fish once a year and provides a fun fishing experience from the shoreline, via canoe or pontoon boat. Our friends at Pemberton Fish Finders can help get you set up with everything you need for a day fishing on Nita Lake!

After an amazing winter season, there is still plenty of snow left in the alpine areas of Whistler Blackcomb. Enjoy a leisurely walk among the giant snow walls after uploading the Whistler Village Gondola. The hike will take about an hour round trip and is a great way to cool down if the sun is out. Keep an eye out for black bears when you are on the gondola. They are usually grazing in grassy fields.

The driving range is a great option for the whole family. Centrally located in Whistler Village, the driving range provides everything you need on-site. They can even provide a lesson from a golf pro. With no pressure of slowing down groups behind you on the golf course, this is a great option for the whole family to share in an activity that dad loves.
The Valley Trail is the perfect bike experience for the whole family. This paved trail loops around Whistler and is only accessible by pedestrians so you don’t have to worry about riding on the road. While you won’t have the same downhill thrills as the Whistler Bike Park, the scenic beauty of Whistler will still take your breath away. Make sure to bring a camera to capture some family photos!
Fix Cafe is the perfect spot to grab a casual lunch with dad. After working up an appetite fishing, riding bikes, hiking, or hitting golf balls, a relaxing lunch on the patio will keep everyone happy. They have a daily hot sandwich, salad and soups to choose from and even have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options for those with special diets. Add a beer or glass of wine and cheers to Dad!
So, whatever you do this Father’s Day, take the time to appreciate all that Dad does for you with an adventure in Whistler or a phone call home to say hello!
