If you’re looking for lunch with a view in Whistler, you’ve come to the right place. There are so many great, year-round options so we thought we’d narrow your options down a bit. If we were looking for lunch with a view in Whistler, here are the places that we would be hitting up…
The Roundhouse/The Rendezvous
It makes sense that one of the best places to enjoy lunch with a view in Whistler would be at the top of either Whistler Mountain or Blackcomb Mountain. Here you’ll find The Roundhouse and The Rendezvous, respectively. Both are accessible via Gondola and you don’t have to be a skier or snowboarder to enjoy the views. Sightseeing (360 Experience) passes start from $75 and include upload, download and the world record-breaking PEAK2PEAK Gondola, too! Lunch may look slightly different due to new COVID protocol but the views are as epic as ever! For more details regarding on-mountain dining, check out the Whistler Blackcomb dining page.
Lunch With A View In Whistler – Cure Lounge & Patio
We couldn’t write about lunch with a view in Whistler and not include Cure Lounge! Nita Lake Lodge is Whistler’s only lakefront hotel and as such offers unique views of the glacier-fed lake as well as incredible mountain vistas. Cure Lounge & Patio is located to the rear of the hotel and embraces guests with unmatched tranquility, approachable flavours and uplifting vibe. Après is a great time to visit Cure – it’s just a 5-minute walk from the base of Whistler Mountain and the Creekside Gondola, and features run daily from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub
Another unique option is Dubh Linn Gate. If you’re looking for lunch with a view in Whistler, Dubh Linn Gate is especially perfect for people-watching. Enjoy a Guinness as you watch skiers and snowboarders descend into Skiers’ Plaza, or share some nachos as you enjoy some downhill action in the Bike Park. Whatever time of year, Dubh Linn Gate’s patio is always bumpin’. Don’t worry if you can’t get a seat outside; inside is a fun, lively atmosphere welcoming of all!
Lunch With A View In Whistler – Cranked Espresso
Number 4 on our list is Cranked Espresso Bar, which can be found just north of the main Whistler area. It’s a coffee house during the day, transitioning into an intimate bar/venue in the evening featuring unmissable acoustic sets showcasing local talent. You’ll enjoy a more “local vibe” at Cranked Espresso Bar and undoubtedly one of the best places to enjoy lunch with a view in Whistler.
The Clubhouse at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort
For a more refined affair (but still full of mountain charm), we can recommend the Clubhouse at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort Golf Course. In summer, it’s home to one of Whistler’s three golf courses serving up delicious patio lunches overlooking the greens. The patio is a sun trap and you’ll find it incredibly peaceful. It’s ideal before/after a game of golf but you don’t need to be playing (or a member) to enjoy!
Blackbird Bakery (Yes, it counts)
This is sort of a bonus entry for you! Technically not the best lunch with a view in Whistler; Blackbird Bakery is, for sure, the best lunch with a view in Pemberton. It’s 30km or so north of Whistler but if you find yourself in the area we whole-heartedly recommend it! It’s a very small venue with only 1-2 indoor tables, but we would always choose the outside seating anyway to take in the incredible views of Mount Currie. Cinnamon buns and the gluten-friendly banana bread are priorities when we visit, but you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
