A Unique Bachelor Party Venue
It’s really no secret that Whistler is packed with unique, adrenaline-fuelled experiences. While the city is the obvious choice for a bachelor party, here’s five reasons to consider moving your plans from Vancouver to Whistler:
Alpine Riding
Whistler Blackcomb is home to world-class mountain biking facilities. But you don’t have to be a hardcore biker to enjoy the trails. Alpine Riding is a new way to ride and is currently turning heads in Whistler. Think “mountain bike” just with no seat, gears or pedals. Crazy, right? Actually, it’s surprisingly intuitive! The stand-up position feels safer and the handling seems somewhat simpler. It’s perfect for seasoned riders and a great introduction to the mountain for beginners too!
Whistler Bungee
This one’s sure to separate the men from the boys! Whistler Bungee is located a short drive south of the main village area. Daredevils enjoy a 160ft jump over the Cheakamus River, surrounded by basalt column cliffs and old growth forest. Whistler Bungee have been operating since 2002 and offer jumps all year round. They even offer group pricing. With everyone pumped about their jump, it’s time to find a great patio and let the celebrations continue.
Axe Throwing
Indulge your inner lumberjack with a visit to Forged Axe Throwing. It’s the perfect year-round, team activity. Hone your skills with a brief introduction to axe throwing before splitting into teams and competing against one another in a bachelor party showdown! Axe throwing is fun in its own right but the Forged hosts are a great addition, with cool tips and tricks. They’ll have you feeling like a pro in no time!
Great Beer
The Sea-To-Sky Corridor is home to some really great brews! Here in Whistler, two of the most popular are Whistler Brewing Co. and Coast Mountain Brewing. Both of which can be found in Function Junction, where visitors are invited to enjoy beer flights and seasonal ales. A good idea for a bachelor party would be to book a tour & tasting at Whistler Brewing Co. for $15.95 per person. From here, make the five minute walk to Coast Mountain Brewing and enjoy a chilled pint on their little patio. We’d recommend the Field Guide IPA.
ATV Tours
One of our favourite ways to see the mountains is an ATV tour. Whistler ATV offer a great Backcountry BBQ Tour, which is a three-hour round trip and includes lunch at their private backcountry cabin. Perfect for a Bachelor party experience! Embark on an adventure through forest and along alpine trails. There’s an opportunity to spot wildlife and the views are next-level. The ATVs themselves feature power steering and are easy to drive. For those wanting to up the ante, try the Top Of The World Tour and climb 5,000ft to enjoy unparalleled riding and views.
