The 20-27th of January will see our mountain town come to life with the 27th annual Whistler Pride & Ski Festival. Named the #1 Gay Winter Event (2016 & 2017) by GayTravel.com, Whistler Pride 2019 is gearing up to welcome back visitors from 26 nations. It makes this Winter Pride festival one of the planet’s biggest and best. Enjoy fun-filled parties and on-mountain adventures in this week-long celebration of arts, culture, snow sports and social events.
‘With 8 days filled with incredible events the energy and diversity of the festival is reflected in the schedule’, writes Tourism Whistler. ‘Enjoy Whistler Blackcomb’s incredible terrain for skiing and riding each day and a new social event every night’.
Here are some of our favourite highlights:

Flying High With Pam Ann – A Night Of Comedy
Comedian Caroline Reid (AKA Pam Ann) touches down in Whistler with her brand new show, ‘Flying High’. The stars official website writes: ‘Pam’s barbed wit has seen her fly many a risky route and negotiate even the most politically incorrect flight path’. We can’t wait to see what her new show has in store! Catch her at Whistler Conference Centre, Wednesday 23rd at 8:00 pm. Tickets available by clicking here.
Après Ski Sessions
There’s lots of choice when it comes to Whistler Pride & Ski Après 2019. Whether you’ve had an awesome day on the mountain or a relaxing day in The Spa, après is a great opportunity to mix with other festival goers and share some fun stories. Offers include Thirsty Thursdays 1/2 price bubbles at Cure Lounge & Patio, or catch Monday Après presented by Nita Lake Lodge at The CABN. For more information on daily après, visit the official Whistler Pride & Ski page by clicking here.

Snowball with DJ Abel
One of the biggest and most popular nights is the Snowball. Experience Whistler Conference Centre like never before as the place is transformed into a “mega nightclub”. Grammy-nominated DJ Abel provides the soundtrack to what is dubbed the Main Event of Whistler Pride 2019 celebrations. Snowball opens at 10:00 pm with partygoers dancing the night away until 4:00 am. Tickets available from the official site by clicking here.
Whistler Pride 2019 SkiOUT and March
‘A sight to behold and a signature moment of the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival’ explains the Whistler Pride website. ‘Beginning from Mid Station on Whistler Mountain at 3:30pm, skiers in colourful and creative outfits hoist aloft the larger-than-life Pride flag while slaloming down the mountain to the village, where anyone is welcome to join in the march through the village in celebration of diversity and inclusivity. The parade ends at the Whistler Pride Conference Centre with drinks and dancing at the festival’s T-Dance, offering free admission until 6pm’.
